9th International Conference on Integrative Medicine, Silicone Vally, CA
Dec 08, 2025FASCIA ON THE ROAD
Nothing thrills me more than sharing images and knowledge about the complex collagen network that forms our bodies — from skin to bone and head to toe. There is so much to understand about it, so it’s no wonder the story gets mixed up a lot. A pictures is worth a thousand words, so I think I was able to “say” a LOT this weekend in San Jose!
We are finally really looking at the system that creates the scaffolding for all the other systems (and is arguably a system unto itself.) So how do we begin? With the basics. Clear. Conscise. We start with the foundations. We look at images from the lab. We study shapes, patterns, organizations. We build from the bottom up. And then once we understand “WHICH fascia, WHERE?”, our conversations have context. Our discussions become more specific. We understand what each other is saying and THEN we can really go deep!
What a joy to speak to the 9th International Conference on Integrative Medicine in Sillicon Valley this weekend with David Lesondak. They were very gracious to us and really interested to hear what we shared. I’m so looking forward to the next opportunity to show my work from the dissection lab that I’m doing with Nicole Trombley and AnatomySCAPES, LLC and share the understanding we are gaining from the excellent research that just keeps growing and growing! The future is bright! 💡

David and I were warmly greeted with a signing of the banner ritual followed by posing for a photo. It was the red carpet of welcomes for all the presenters and guest!

Many of the presenters spoke English, though they most all did their presentations in Chinese. I had to rely on Google Translate most of the weekend to enjoy the interesting talks, except for these three lovely individuals who chatting with me about fascia, TCM, and the future of western medicine. The woman in red interviewed David and I for her tv channel named Dragon TV based out of Washington, DC.

Our first lecture started well. Just a 30 minute preview of the longer presentation we planned for Sunday. David had just handed the floor over to me when the door opened and the number of people in the room suddenly doubled. I continued once everyone was settled and ending up sharing the fluid and fiber story of fascia with about 40-50 practitioners!

The presentation on Sunday was moved several times and ended with us doing a zoom presentation and recording it to be viewed by the onsite and distance learning registrants from anywhere they may live, anytime they like. David's talk was dynamic and well-informed with his signature humor and flare. He made space for a 45 minute presentation from me in the middle of it on the topic of SEEING Fascia and the Fascial Net Plastination Project. We don't know how large or small the audience will end up being, but we hope they enjoy it and learn new things about fascia!
